What is the Significance of Nutrition For Black Women
For the past 5 years of my career, I've noticed subtle differences in the nutritional needs, adherence capabilities, patterns, and adaptations of my African American clients.
There is a gap in identifying the specific nutritional needs of African Americans and this need is based on the genetic and cultural differences of our people.
Every diet is different and affects us differently.
Isn't it about time that we have health and nutrition information that is catered specifically to us, our issues, our history, and our genes?
Who We Are
Nutrition For Black Women is a research blog that identifies the specific nutrition and health differences within the metabolic, genetic and cultural needs of Black Women. We promote that all women, men, and families are different and that understanding your genetic background can help you lead a healthier and more nutritious lifestyle.
The main goal is to heal our Black families from within. We are firm believers that your health begins with your nutrition. Our Black families are dying from self-inflicted diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, coronary artery disease and even preventable genetic mutations like cancer.
If we can deliver untainted information to the women in our families, we can begin to heal the Black family from within. Let us raise our young men and women to be in better health than our generation so they can make a lasting impact and change in the world.
It all begins with your nutrition.
